WTS: Valhalla 2 w/ Amperex OGs and Novosibirsk 6N6P Gold-pins (SOLD)

Like title says, Valhalla 2 with upgraded input and output tubes. The NY pyrate cove can testify to how good the combination sounds. I've had the amp for over a year and I've only recently replaced it with the Jotun. Comes with stock input tubes and a pair of russian tubes (brighter sounding) as well. Stock output tubes not included because they don't work anymore.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I also have two pairs of socket savers on my V2. You can see that the tubes are raised. Helps with tube swapping and heat dissipation.

How do the upgraded tubes compare to the stock ones?

 

IIRC, the Orange Globes gave the Valhalla 2 a slightly warmer and wetter sound compared to the stock tubes. I never got to compare the stock and upgraded tubes since the stock tubes failed on me.

Such annoying demands from a potential customer are actually a quite standard conversation (uhh, bargaining?) for local listings in my place, haha!
Not that it changes anything on the end results though-- usually just a waste of keystrokes on the keyboard, 75% chance that in the end he won't buy or if he did buy he will still nag you for the next week or so.

Nope, I don't believe so. If it was possible, I would have torn his arm off at the start of the thread, it's a great deal, and I've love to have a slightly scruffy but servicable Valhalla 2 for a song..

Muahaha, sadly the only things I am thinking of selling right now are a pair of Bose QC-25 and some Hifiman HE400i - but I have failed to rub myself lasciviously against either

..oh, and possibly an Allen and Heath Xone 42 mixer, and various CDJs.. ditto. No frottage, sorry.
