Sounds rough, I know it can be stressful if you don't know exactly what it is. I had a period with a pinched nerve in my back which I mistook for a cardiac problem because I had diffuse chest pains. A back rehabilitation specialist sorted me out after a single visit but that was after a lot of other doctor visits, blood works and scans. Take care and get better!
Hmm, yes, cardiac episodes, that does sound annoying. So, hey, don't die or anything mildly perturbing. I'm sure you are taking it seriously. Tell your cardiologist hi from all of us. Feel better soon!
Thank-you all for the kind thoughts. The cardiac problem is more common than you would think. About 4 million in the US alone suffer from paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. It comes and goes. Some episodes are mild and some are a PITA. This last one was the latter.
@bixby : calming music is one of the more potent non-pill interventions and often sets the stage for spontaneous conversion. Better than going for a cardioversion. I've had enough of those.
I have had a fib episodes myself - fortunately relatively mild and few and far between. This past week I have been wearing a heart monitor just to see if there is any activity I may not be aware of.
