    I am in for one as well. Kind of itching for something like the old Denon D2/5/7000 line, and seems the tuning will be more in line with my tastes this time around. Plus, those wood cups...very classy. Something that will be cool to keep around for years, and, hey, should be able to sell it without much trouble down the road if I so choose.

    Considering I really enjoyed the D2000 for about $300 used, this is a no-brainer for me. Plus, I imagine the innards are similar which means I'll probably re-cable these as well... gotta find the right color to go with that mahogany.

    Look at the measurements and compare. From others impressions, more bass, takes EQ like a nice beeotch, slightly recessed mids and a few little peaks in the treble. So, a funner can than the 600 I'd guess.

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It was more of the appeal of a unique signature I have never heard that tempted me, paired with the limited nature of the drop.

    I definitely could use the money instead to upgrade my current setup rather than on a new headphone.

    Very quickly, one thing I would like say: Thank you so much Will and Massdrop! Many readers know how much I've railed against poor value products. While the X00 isn't exactly cheap, I think Will and Massdrop did great thing not only for themselves but also for the entire headphone hobbyist community. Just a few reasons:
    1. A fun but good sounding headphone
    2. Good looking wood cups
    3. NAFO - not another fricking ortho
    4. A closed headphone
    5. A good price
