Fostex X Massdrop TH-X00

Owning the HD 650 I'll rather wait for my Gungnir Multibit to arrive and get a HD800S next year. Anything else is mid-fi purgatory.

Only downside of the HD 650 is that the rather small soundstage isn't the best for immersion in games. TH-900 was much better. HD 800 is the reference though.

 

Drop is live, if you didn't know already. Did I get the time wrong, or did they start it early?

TH-600's adjusted MSRP. Had a lot of people suggesting it should be higher. Doesn't matter anyway, it's a made up number, just for indicating to the uninitiated.

 

Seems to be a little of a false panic, only 750/1950 gone after one hour now

 

would have bought one for my mother (has HD 598) but EURO-USD conversion is horrible. Would end up@520 Dollars total after tax and everything

 

Just joined the drop. I've got a few pads lying around (alphas, vegans, and Brainwavz hybrids) and will try and get some measurements (still using my shitty migoreng box...) of how they affect the FR.

Massdrop is really savvy when it comes to getting their stuff in the right hands and executing on these products. Jude hype review + Mervey measurements + woodie cups + reasonable price-point = Cash money

If I wasn't already getting an HD650 this holiday, I would have looked hard at this. Looks like there won't be a subsequent drop after this one. They should all be done before the drop ends.

 

I'm 70% sure there will be more THx00 drops.

When I realized overseas shipping is only $15 total, I jumped on it.. then started thinking again what I'm doing and cancelled, good thing there is an option. Already have Senny HD8 for closed bass duties and can use the 500€+ much more wisely..
