Yes, I want to know this too. Are they ready for shipment or are there going to be issues with delays? I absolutely do not trust their turn around time on this.

You don't need it for an s7. I use the gov2 straight out of my s7 edge.

Well, if I don't want to drain the battery. How fast does it run down your phone battery?

Seems my issues disappeared. Probably fixed by Kernel updates. :headbang:

I decided to go for the upgrade to the GOv2a. I'll need to ship mine out to them next week. They wouldn't upgrade to an Infinity from a regular, so I'll stick with the regular, as the original has served me well to date.

LH Labs is such a f'ing joke. I sent my GOV2 to them a month ago because an LED went out again, making this the third time I've had to ship it back for warranty work. Three weeks ago, the support guy tells me they've got a super sekrit chassis coming and if I wanted to wait, he would send me that. When the GOV2a was announced, I asked if that was what he was talking about. He confirmed and said it would be ready to ship around the middle of this month. Today I get a message saying "lol sorry you have to pay $89". I said no and told him to throw my GOV2 in the trash. I am done with this joke of a company.

Agree. Having a great product is like 20% of being a great company.

I just sent off my GOV2 for an upgrade. If they pull any crap I might just pick up a Chord Mojo and sell the upgraded GOV2.

PM me screenshots of your emails. We'll get it taken care of. Larry would flip if he knew people were promising stuff then asking you to pay.

    wow good for Marv!
am hoping the new GOV2A board in a mostly-final metal chassis ships out to me this week for sonic review. (thanks to Manny)

the upgrade fee of $89 for an entire new board AND a legit metal chassis seems a fair price to me.

The v2+ arguably already got this "upgrade". I say arguably because many of us are still waiting to actually receive our v2+, due to the upgrade. (I speak only about the chassis. The v2+ doesn't have an upgraded board ... that we know of.)

The problem is that Larry is very good at designing this stuff, and he always has new ideas. That is usually a great problem to have, but they need to pace the release of stuff rather than constantly tweaking, and delaying, the product. If the product calendar was more akin to schiit's, or even any large product manufacturer (computers, cars, phones...) consumer confidence would be so much higher. LH needs to collect all the new ideas, test, reject the bad ones, and compile the good ones into standardized releases, say once every 18-24 months. Its not too late for this to start happening, but the recent past is not a good prologue.
