    I've been eyeing on a Geek Pulse Xfinity 2.0 in HF classifieds, there's only 1 thing that makes me hard to pull the trigger. The seller told me it has run for 2 months just fine but all the horror stories regarding what LH did and how crappy their build quality really deters me. Anyone have any say on this? One more info I forgot to mention is that apparently the unit is from a more recent batch.

    circle perk sounds about right. definitely seems like changes for the better (probably) to the (already good) product. questions remain about changes for the better to the company, their way of doing business, and their relationship to clients/supporters/us. i kinda hate myself for saying that, because they make damn good stuff, but moving forward i think i'm going to reduce my cognitive dissonance by moving on to other stuff. but anyway the pitfalls of crowd funding and all things LH have been covered elsewhere. looks like a nice case!

    Yipes. I bought the GOv2 from a brick and mortar store here in Canada, but I honestly think LH should have just provided the nicer case for the backers still waiting...

    there's more to this upgrade than just a case. newer USB filtering, some analog stage improvements, more power to the SE connection....

    it's a trade in deal. send in original, get new GOV2a shipped within 10-12 business days.
    with the changes mentioned, has to be a new board IMO.

    You would assume that, but typically of LH it's a 'OMGWTFBBQ! QUICK! TIME LIMITED, ORDER NOW!@!' situation without concrete details, just 'trust us, totally more better-er and ready to ship'

    I find it eminently frustrating that their GO products actually sound really good. I wouldn't normally quote myself but it seems apt...

    I get it. been there myself with LH Labs long ago, in the end have focused on the quality of the sound of GOV2 and GOV2+Infinity for portable use.
    Larry Ho has some great ears and design chops. full stop.
    these are not my end game DACs/Amps, I won't die if my GOV2a trade-in is delayed by weeks, it's a mere $89 bucks.

    anyone who waits for reviews, measurements - makes complete sense.

    Larry has been working on a metal chassis for a while. I'll find out how many are available and when. We've talked about this upgrade forever. Supplies of the standard v2 have been drying out and my suggestion was to let them run out and release a metal chassis version. It looks like the chassis should land sometime in early to mid q3.
