I use Ubuntu 14.04 with my GO450. You're experiencing issues?

Yup. it worked pefectly with Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04 beta/alpha but once I installed properly a fresh 16.04 i began to encounter issues and my GOv2 is randomly recognized. I need to plug/unplug it two or three times before to make it work properly.

Looks like an ALSA/Kernel/Driver bug and it pisses me off cuz I love my GOv2 .

They've been very nice about it too. My only issue is --- I literally do not trust their supposed turn around time. I don't want to be without a DAC (I have another one, but that's on another system) for 10-12 days or even LONGER (which based on their past turn around time seems very likely). I may just say screw it and wait it out until I hear from others how these supposed improvements actually sound.

I've already paid them but I may ask for a refund. The fact they're making us pay for what should have been delivered in the first place is pretty upsetting to me.

I'm asking them if it's possible to upgrade up to the Infinity version of the upgraded models since I'm already sending mine in. That would be worth the turnaround time for me.

Are you planning on paying the difference or just seeing if they'll toss it in for free?

Does anyone know if the GO V2A is being tuned any differently than the original Geek Out V2?

Yes the GO2A does get special tuning and will need a new firmware update for this for the Single-ended output stage. as well as the Infinity V2

    Thank you!

Interesting. It may be worth the 89 dollar upgrade then....maybe.

Is the V2A the official replacement for the V2 or is this a special limited edition only?

    Hi Manny,

    Great to have you here. A couple of questions;

    1. To what degree has the single ended output been increased? As it stands, V2 output levels kind of just work with SE into IEMs and BAL into headphones.
    2. The email indicates some component changes, 'The analog stage features new signal path resistors, almost ZERO vibration-introduced noise, and instant power capacitors.' and 'With GO2A we are pushing even further with state-of-the-art filter components, resulting in an even darker background.' Will this involve a board revision, or a simple solder out/in of components?
    3. As @synthwavefan mentioned, will V2A be available as a separate product, or is it only available as an upgrade to V2?

    Thanks.

SBAF, can anyone identify this cable? It's a USB Male > split into Male/Female ends. What cable is this and how do I get it? I cannot find it online or find out what it's actually referred to as.

    Hi Manny,

Nice to see you here! Thanks for your help with my Geek Outs, wanted to reach out to you and let you know that I enjoy them.

Are the new versions ready for quick turnaround or will they take a while to fulfill? I'll probably upgrade mine soon...

    Cheers,
    C
