Yes we have shipped out all but a few GO2A units that arrived in the first major batch (got over that hurdle) I do apologize for the delay in the forum. We have about 30 to 40 units still in transit to arrive but it was nothing like the first batch which we had so it should be easier to get these out quickly. If you are asking about a specific order please feel free to PM me.

    Got it replied!
We have a Limited Edition Cobalt Blue winner today!
Now that GO2A is coming we had to begin putting our original Geek Out to rest :-(
    It was a fun ride!

I have the choice of a regular or Infinity. Does anyone feel the extra power setting / extra filter is worth the extra money?

Currently running: Senn 600 / Senn 558, Koss Porta Pro, ATH-m40x, V-Moda XS / M-100....not sure if I need the extra gain or filter settings. I've heard the 3rd filter setting is really not all it's cracked up to be and sounds worse than the original 2 filters.

    @jexby may have an idea....

I find the Infinity's middle output mode (2Vrms/450mW) useful. With IEMs.. even very sensitive customs.. the MID output sounds better than the lower, "IEM optimized" (100mW) output. It's kind of soft/limp sounding and lacking dynamics. If you're using the GO as a DAC, the middle output mode gives you the 'standard' 2Vrms output most amps like to see (the high output mode pushes ~4Vrms/1000mW .. which can be a little too high for some amps.. or limit travel on the amp's pot due to an already high input signal).

Counterpoint: I find the highest gain setting to sound the best. I use it with everything. If you're using it as a balanced DAC, get the infinity. Otherwise, save your money.

The best filter is FRM. It's not even close.

I use the the Middle Gain for my big amps seems closest to line levels, and great for On ears, the added SSM filter sounds its best when used with a streaming service.
I use Incredible's on ears with the mids as my "can afford to lose" scenarios on the road.

Even with streaming services, I prefer the FRM filter.

When you use it as just a DAC to big boy amps, I'd definitely look at the infinity model.

I agree that the highest gain is the best sounding.. but it can be a little too powerful for some IEMs. Upsampling 16/24-bit files to 32-bit output and using digital volume control is definitely nice (w/o losing bit depth due to padding).

SSM actually has pretty nice clarity.. but something sounds off with its tone & presentation (vs FRM & TCM)... I sense some kind of 'hollowness' in places. I haven't used that mode enough to really dig into it but, yeah.. not my preferred filter. Also, a good portion of my listening is via streaming services.

I'd be using one DAC as a DAC to amps, one DAC as headphone amp. When you say "use it for big boy amps" are you referring to the highest gain or middle? I'm trying to figure out what I'd use the middle gain for.

I use it as a balanced DAC to my Senn 600 and that's it --- I use the highest gain on that. I use the lowest and highest gains about 50/50.

Disregard, I should have read the whole thread like a good person. Answered my own question.

@zerodeefex will the version soon to be available to the public be exactly the same as the version backers are now receiving of the V2A? Im debating buying Jowls one.

With the Vi - do you have a filter preference?

Whats my best course of action for getting a balanced HD650 cable for one of these things? Does anyone make TRRS 3.5mm cables for 650s that isn't $300 and coated in 99.9% unicorn horn silver neutrino powder?
