The local Fedex branch is also terrible.

I am mildly terrified while waiting for LCD-2C and Auteur.

The DHL guy phones *before* delivery to check, and drops it of at the local pick-up point if I'm not there. And has change for customs tariffs.

Fedex doesn't call even if they don't find me. And expects me to have exact amounts without telling me before hand what the amount is.

To be honest, I do think FedEx are, on average, much more careful with packages than UPS. Plus my local UPS guy has a grudge against me for getting too many heavy boxes. He’ll skip delivery attempts on signature items and mark them as nobody home when indeed I took the day off and was home all day. Sometimes multiple days in a row.

Yeah. I think one's local people are probably key. I looked at mine on-line after I had the recent incident. 1 and 2 star ratings depending on the site I looked at.
