    You might be the first person to mod their hearing to fit HD800 (I assume they're stock?) as opposed to the other way around :)

    Lol, it wasn't voluntary!

    They are not stock: they have the cork-ring mod (oj-neg? I forget) but they are still giving me at least some higher notes that I couldn't here before, along with greater vocal clarity.

    I am not amping them to their max. In fact, mostly I'm still using the headphone out of my Cyrus amp for convenience. My little GeekOut 450 does a slightly better job. But... for various reasons I do not want a tube amp (a bit blasphemous around here!) and... My audio budget has long-since been nil, and look what I just did!
