I was meaning more something on the level of the BA or 445. Where the amount your willing to spend on transformers becomes the only limiting factor. Digging through random google results and DIY audio might be worthwhile though

A lot of amp designs are basically identical. The difference comes up in how much you want to devote to parts quality.

It seems like a salas shunt supply into a we417 spud single feed SET is pretty legit with a good OPT...avoid all caps in the signal path that way. Gonna have to do a bunch more reading though
