    Well, its the thing the internet is getting overblown about, when it comes to Macs. Its a combo platter of hate on the butterfly keyboard, and the high keyboard fail rate compared to older machines. I know its overblown, and I think it mostly applies to 2016 machines. But I like hearing from smart people here...

    I think i read something about Apple being aware of it and they have a program set up for it.

    The annoying thing for me is the USB-C only ports. The plus side is that I can charge the laptop from either side now since it doubles as a charging port. The touch bar is interesting but it can get a little too sensitive sometimes. My finger will just get close sometimes and it will 'press' the button.

    maybe a bad idea. You might want to check if it has the latest 8th gen intel processor. If not, probably not worth it

    Sure it will be fine, just do not make it your music computer. Laptops mostly suck. The keyboard may be more important than the optical drives that failed within a few years on the older Macbooks, though.
