Tried them twice. First time, they made the world swim every time I looked from side to side.

Second time, not even that good: I couldn't see anything, anywhere, and I was too busy with other stuff to get resolution from the optician.

Now, I know that I just don't need them. Computer glasses are great, reading glasses are great, and bifocals are just fine for out and about.

But, people I know who have them, love them. Hope it works out for you. Especially as they are relatively expensive.

I gave them up after the first time I tried walking down stairs.

even bifocals have a walking-downstairs effect that one has to get used to, right?. That happens very quickly.

What I am not prepared to do is a complete re-education of neck and eye muscles.

But still, varifocals work for lots of people. So much so that a money-back option is often offered.

Yeah I confess I'm avoiding them more than embracing them. Hunting for the 'sweet spot' is still very mechanical and error-prone.

What they tell me is that you have to commit. If you keep using the old stuff, you'll never adapt. That's what they tell me: obviously I never did.
I looked into it again recently (no pun intended), and they seem to have evolved since I tried them, especially if you spend really a lot. But people say there is stuff like PC screens that single-vision suits a heap better. I spend a lot of time in front of a screen.

Did you get a money-back-if-not-happy deal? how long before you have to swallow it? I guess... you should give them a proper chance
