How/where the statistics were collected and how it is interpreted is key. Statistics never lies is a misleading statement. Using cherry-picked data or pointing the finger at the wrong places most of the time means you are still missing the point.
For context, it's not real world application thereof but instead exams. We (class) were geared for practical questions but some curveball conceptual bits were shoved up our asses. Likely will have to retake next term, so I'll have to juggle with other bits and ends.
Hah! Well who knows, maybe it's not as bad as I thought and the practical bit will push my grade over the edge.
And I'd say numbers are pervasive, even in arts. Universal language and all that. I don't actually mind, they do serve an important function and all, I just have stupid trouble memorising rules etc like assumptions necessary in regression etc.
