    I think we've all been confused as to HFMs "strategy" with regards to versioning for the last ten years... I don't have any idea what the difference between a $400 and $4000 HP is in their lineup, and I'm too afraid to ask at this point.

    i.e. they had a bunch of HE4XX cups, the bog standard headbands, and the magnet arrays tweaked from the HD5XX, and whatever screws and bolts and other things lying around (that amount to "incorporating several all-new components") and figured they could pass them off as something new. Or just recycling parts from warranty returns?

    Pretty sure its the 400se with different earpads and headband, for 30 dollars less. Probably a good deal, but would need some testing to see if corners were cut.
