Noise Nuke for the Pi2AES, are there clear advantages there in sq? And Cinemag XLR to SE for the A1 Gungnir's SE outs to Piety, also something "worth it" since these products aren't widely available via purchase? I have 0 soldering experience btw, when I wanted to reterminate my Audeze 1/4 cable to XLR, I asked my dad...
I don't think it's worth it for the Piety. Save the money for a better amp. The NoiseNuke for the Pi2AES makes a difference but it's subtle. I would just enjoy the Piety and save up for a better amp.
I'd submit that having a Cinemag bal to SE box is something that's just very useful to have around as your system(s) progresses, or when you'd like to audition gear that doesn't fit perfectly in a chain optimized for entirely balanced or SE.
Echoing a bit what @yotacowboy says, don’t ONLY get one for the Piety. But if you have a lot of gear then it does come in handy. Especially if you are in the pro space and you need some conversion or to eliminate a ground loop
Looking at your config again, @caute , the Gungnir A1 has reclocking circuitry that should correct any noise from the Pi2AES, and sync the audio stream to its own very precise VCXO clock. Consider that problem solved -- you won't get any benefit from NoiseNuke or LPS on the Pi2AES.
