    I never hopped on the bandwagon because normal SSDs were plenty enough for me. I literally would not have bothered if I didn't find a deal where it was actually cheaper for the same amount of storage

    Depends if the m2 is NVMe or SATA spec. If your old SSD was SATA and this new one is NVMe, then you should see significant improvements in some areas.

    I have a SATA SSD. Brilliantly faster than HDD :)

    I bought it a few days before my previous motherboard died. Yep: the new MB has NVMe,but hey, I already had the SATA.

    I'll add NVMe... one day...

    NVMe blazes. Drops all the spinning-rust hard drive overhead that SATA had to support. Most can do 32 concurrent reads/writes, so it acts more like RAM than a hard drive in that regard.
