Decided that everything was a sidegrade at most, and saved myself some cash. Plus, recent life developments have made me more conscious of purchases. I still get some wants here and there, but I've been less trigger happy than in the past.

What was sidegradey for you?

Same boat as you, however looking at your gear in profile there's not much better for you to "upgrade" to IMO you already have top gear.

I don't even bother with "upgrade" thoughts anymore. It's all "curiosity" and wanting to satisfy that, which is more dangerous in its own way.

But you passed by! It's great that you are happy with your system: I'd love to see people spending more years, or even decades, with their gear. But you can still admire the view out there.

Drop in. Check out the upgrades, downgrades, sidegrades, tardigrades...

And then go home and enjoy your system

@caute was eyeing the Warwick Bravura or the RAAL SR-1A so I have different driver options as I already have a dynamic and planar. but I find more enjoyment trying to perfect what I already have right now than adding more stuff to the stable.

@Thad E Ginathom I think this makes a lot of sense. I'm still curious about the new stuff coming out, and it's fun trying things out. I just have to restrain myself from pulling out the wallet hastily which I don't have a lot of confidence in, which is why I just avoid situations where I can get myself into trouble.
