You'll see comments about the Jot R being a bit unrelenting in its sound. It is. A mellower, more forgiving experience can be had with the TI-1b transformer box with a decently powerful headphone amp (your OOR should be good, if you still have it).
I've tried a LOT of setups with the RAALs but the tyr monoblocks were the biggest upgrade to the system out of all of them. Absolutely wonderful setup.
If you got a great deal on them - hang on to them. It's going to take other companies a little time to 'catch up' - I say, enjoy them with the Jot and don't worry. Hit the lotto and Tyr up.
@Tchoupitoulas I think I'm good with a more unrelenting sound as my preference leans towards a more engaging signature. I still have the OOR though just in case :)
@Armaegis I have tried it around 2 months ago. But the chassis size is too big for my space right now. The Jot R is just right for the meantime, until I can find a larger space
I've considered this many times from both showing up semi-frequently on HifiShark. Given that you have an SJR with dynamics and an Yggdrasil, which is similar enough to my setup, really interested in your impressions either here or in the SR-1a thread when you get the chance. I've basically kept telling myself I can't use Raal's with my Studio B so I should just forget it, but they still call me from time to time...
