I'd say if you look at these sub-$150 chip amps as a bit of a novelty, then yes, the ~$40 difference between the V3 or Aiyma A07 and the za3 is worth it, imo

Yeah I'm already using the v3 in my living room so I guess the real cost to upgrade would be the full price of the unit, but it might be worth it a shot if it can fit the Sparkos without needing socket extenders.

I had to use dip-8 extenders for the sparkos boards in mine.

also, i wouldn't bother running balanced in. from looking at the board, it's got some kind of summing circuit with a separate IC in the balanced ciruit that dumps into the SE circuit.
