Killed my MiniDSP EARS from too many damping experiments but I have a dynamic mic handy. Measured a 1dB-ish shelf in the lows through middle-mids. Surprised I caught that. Jiggling gain helped, all sorted, but I'm just keeping it on high now.
Please don't force it. I ended up getting the gain switch on my Magni 3+ stuck midway between settings trying to wiggle center image back into place, haha.
Hasn't been an issue on Piety, but I keep that on high gain. I was experimenting with Unity and wondered why things were suddenly panned slightly left. Thought my Senns were crapping out and I got worried after seeing @MLegend's post about them just a couple days before.
@Wilewarer the former. With the 3+ I had to flip the switch a bunch, wiggle it laterally to re-center image. Piety and Unity are fine now, I'm just never touching gain settings unless I have to.
@Sqveak ugh, likely. Hate it. No real reason to use lower gain for me unless I try with IEMs. Likely never going to now haha.
