FS: Ampocalypse

The Aficionado is sold.

The Questyle's have a steely grip on headphone drivers which can result in almost a clinical accuracy without a good DAC. With a good DAC their strengths come out and its kind of the experience I've had running headphones of speaker amps. Just a completely different sound than most SS headphone amps.

The sound is worlds away from the the tube amps I'm used to these days, always kind of shocks me when I go back to them.

 

Woo WA6 SE is gone.

 

Will add a plug for the OPPO HA1. I still use mine, mainly because of the convenience and connectivity. The app remote is a very cool feature too. Has balanced pre-out too. Doesn't have the finesse of my Cavalli gear but I miss the feature options whenever I try anything else. Perfect all round preamplifier and this is a great price.. dB

 

are you into speakers now ? or are you going to be a buddhist monk in Tibet? GLWS!

 

I picture myself on top of a mountain somewhere, sitting cross-legged in robes and surrounded by amplifiers being used as incense holders.

Spending less time in front of a computer screen is leading me more to TT and speakers but I'll have plenty of headphone gear left even after this sale completes.

My immediate future involves amps I can use for both speakers and headphones. Actually spending quality time with the Woo WA5 these days.
