FS: Big Sale (various items)

After experimenting with a bunch of gear over the past 18 months, I’m getting close to settling on a long-term setup, so I’m letting the following items go.

These sales are open to everyone. I’ve also posted these items on head-fi. I’ll continue to add some other items in the days to come.

All items come from a smoke-free, cologne-free home. We do have cats, though. All prices include PayPal fees and fully insured UPS shipping to the lower 48 states. If you’re overseas, I’d be happy to contribute the first $30 for shipping. Please select PayPal “Goods and Services” so that we’re both protected. PayPal invoices will be issued and sales considered closed once the invoices have been paid. All sales are in US dollars. I will ship only to verified PayPal accounts/addresses. SOLD Final Audio D8000 - $2395. These are in excellent condition. They come with lightly used G-pads and brand new F-pads (worth $90 each). Also included is a $150 custom leather headband that alleviates the hotspot issue on this headphone (link). The original SE cable is included, as well as the headphone stand, the box, outer box, and shipping box, and I will also include an $80 Audiophile Ninja XLR cable. Pics and also here.

SOLD Sony NW-ZX2 DAP - $100. It’s in pretty good condition, I purchased it to go with my Andromeda 2020 but have barely used it in the three years I’ve owned it. Its battery still lasts a decent amount of time.

SOLD Mjolnir 2 with stock and upgrade tubes - $750. I purchased this without tubes back in February from Ntbm3 for $500 plus shipping (here). I’ve added Schiit’s stock tubes ($80 value), a matched pair of WE 396a tubes ($140 value), and a matched pair of Amperex/Hewlett Packard 6922/E88CC O-Getter Gold Pin Aug 1972 USA ($155 value). The WE 396A tubes require adapters; I'll include two pairs of them. Please note the following about the tubes: the very tips of the WE 396a tubes had broken off before I bought them; the seller assured me that this is just a cosmetic issue; they work fine; the Amperex/Hewlett Packard 6922/E88CC tubes are on their way back to me as I'd lent them to a friend - I'll send them on to the buyer the moment I have them back in my possession. The amp's in the same condition as I received it. Pics.

SOLD Raal Requisite TI-1a transformer interface box - $500. I no longer need this as I’ve gone with the HSA 1b instead. It’s the interface box that enables the Raal ribbon headphones to be driven from headphone amps as well as speaker amps. Included are the cable and the compensation barrels for the SR1a (they’re not needed for the CA-1a). The TI-1a has the same internal components as the current TI-1b, the only difference, I gather, is the case (this is a nice metal one, like the original speaker interface’s one). Original packaging, box and shipping box included. Pics.

SOLD Holo Audio Bliss - $2900. I purchased this amp from this FS listing on head-fi back in April. I’m selling it because I’ve decided to go with the Raal HSA 1b instead. It’s in similar condition to when I purchased it, except for a small scratch near the top-right corner of the top panel. Original packaging, i.e. box and shipping box, included. Pics here.

SOLD Monoprice Cavalli Liquid Gold X - $425. I purchased it from ergopower in February 2022 (here). It comes with original packaging and is in very good condition. I have the original packaging. Pics!

SOLD Sennheiser HD 800 SDR - $800. I’m the second owner of these headphones and installed the SDR mod myself. The headphones, serial number 238xx, are in fairly good condition. There are a few chips in the paint and two slight marks on the rear of the cups where the connectors seem to have scratched them either when being inserted or pulled out (they were like this when I got them). When I received them, the headphones and the box smelled of stale sweat from the previous owner (yes, gross). I aired out the box and febrezed it. I replaced those pads as well as the foam cushion on the headband with new ones and they’re still in excellent condition. I’m also including a brand new pair of pads, still in their unopened packaging. The original cable is included. The headphones come in their original box, the slip cover around it (both are in poor condition), and the original manual.

SOLD Norne Drausk cable for Sennheiser HD 800/S - $175. I purchased this from a member here (here’s the head-fi listing for it). It's in excellent, like new condition.

SOLD ZMF Vérité Open African Blackwood Ltd., with magnesium chassis - $1750. I’m the original owner of these headphones and received them at the end of October 2021. They’re in excellent condition. They have two small nicks near the connector housing on the left-hand cup, one of which is readily apparent, the other, much smaller and less conspicuous. Please see the photos of these nicks here. Apart from these two blemishes, the cups are in the same condition as when I received them, and the gimbals are free from scratches or paint chips. Included are the Seahorse case, the two cables I received with the headphones, as well as the stock leather perforated Universe pads (installed) and four other pairs of pads, each of which I tried only briefly and once: the hybrid perforated Universe, the Vérité lambskin, the BE2 lambskin, and a pair of b-stock Universe suede pads. (They’re in labeled ZMF plastic pouches). The Blackwood cups are hard to photograph; when well lit, you can see the grain, otherwise they look quite black. They have a nice, gloss finish.
