  Occasionally I still enjoy my PC optical drive for playing CDs. It works fine. And I don't have to worry that I don't even have a hifi stack set up now although yes, I wish I did.

  I like new gear as much as anyone else. My favorite thing about my CD player is the previous owner lost the remote, so I rarely skip songs and enjoy the whole album. The irony is the lost remote was a cause of hesitation while buying it.
