I want to be completely honest, but not totally pessimistic about this speaker. I don't like how it sounds, I couldn't get it sounding good in my space, but maybe you can in a different setting? Let me explain.

I bought this refurbished speaker off an eBay seller who said they were a certified Riva refurbisher. So maybe they got something wrong in the refurbishing process??? Anyway, my problem with the speaker is the midrange: it's dead and recessed sounding. The Vanatoo Transparent Zeros I use in a different room sounds dramatically better in the midrange.

On the plus size, the bass quantity, build quality, and wireless functionality of this speaker are all impressive.

So maybe in a different physical space or use case you'd like this speaker? Or maybe you just like a dead-sounding midrange? I could imagine that in a more free-space setting (I always used the speaker against a wall, boosting its already-prodigious bass) maybe it would sound more balanced? And maybe at higher volume (I used it for bedroom music in an apartment where I never cranked the volume) the midrange would spring to life? Or maybe you only listen to beautiful female vocal music, but find those vocals a bit piercing and want to tame them down?

Anyway, I'm pricing this speaker low because I think it's not worth a lot and restricting the sale to SBAF Friends only because I don't trust rando-types to not buy it and then be like "woah, you didn't tell me this thing sucks I want a refund". But maybe the ways this speaker *doesn't* fit my preferences will cause it to *perfectly* fit yours! If so, awesome, but probably also we should never be in the same room as each other because, you know, matter+antimatter not good.

I kept the manufacturer box for this speaker and so it'll ship in that box, inside a larger box with peanuts. The speaker is a lovely, solid little box that's in great cosmetic condition, but surprisingly heavy for its size, and so I want it to arrive to you in good shape and I don't think the manufacturer box alone will get the job done.

 

I fancy one of these. But hey, wrong-continent+shipping+customs=no-no.

At your price, it would have to be very wrong to be bad!
