I've been out of the stat game for some time now, but having been among those who petitioned for the revival of the Jade, I'm remotely interested. Hopefully these sound better than SR-007, my all-time reference electrostatic headphone.

Neat-o. Hopefully these don't have the typical HFM build quality issues. Stator design looks kinda silly. Looks like lots of the HEK stuff is reused in this, so hopefully it's affordable instead of another half hearted attempt at making a world beater ($$$).

The cherry-picked HFM are good, people said.

Head-case will have interesting things to say, no doubt.

Having to cherry pick is the f'ing point about quality control, you f'ing clown.

The build quality issues are a bit concerning as these are electrostatic. Correct me if I'm wrong, I know current is the killer but I'm pretty sure the voltages going into those headphones (didn't the T2/KGSSHV have an output of 2000V?) are still dangerous and you wouldn't want that in a flimsy pair of headphones sitting on your head. Can't say I've ever seen anyone have issues with the build quality of STAX or the Orpheus headphones before after all.

I do feel HE1000 is somewhat an upgrade of HE6, but not so much. So I assume Jade 2 would be a little upgrade of HE1000 but the price might jump to 6K....well don't forget the amp, EF1000 is still not appear to be coming and the price of the Jade set might be unbelievably expensiveo_O

I can't even imagine how much this will cost... think I'll stick to with my 650.

The higher you guys speculate the price will be, the higher Fang will price this. He doesn't price based on cost to build.

I bet it's going to be 50000. I have many friends who would pay that price. In fact, I'm sure this headphone is so awesome that it will be the best headphone evar and therefore worth any price

    :D

OJ has single-handedly turned this into a HE1060 competitor. What if the official model name is the HE-1061?

Just wait a month or 2 after release for the price to take one hell of a beating.

I love how the headband gimbal looks like it's made of metal, but it's just plated plastic.
