    Sorry for OT...

Why the bands and not a 3M low profile Velcro DualLock adhesive.
Did this to my first mobile setup and my tablet 4 years ago.
It will give you a much cleaner look..

Hey guys. The pulse infinity's amazon price has gone down and at one point was approx $600. When I go through the posts here and in HF they're actually a bit confusing and there's some dissatisfaction about the way the company hasn't delivered the product in the promised time. Having said that, is the product worth $600? It'll be nice to know if the product is buggy or breaks often in certain ways and overall a PITA. Is this a better buy than Modi Multibit + Jot ($650)?

I would only buy it for the DAC section. Also, it significantly improves with a good 12V linear supply (a SOLA HD off ebay is excellent). If you like delta sigma, this is a great way to go.

DAC part is good of course but you can´t blend out the connectivity issues, bad QA and lousy support they had in the past.
Hence - from my point of view - you should keep "the whole package" in mind before spending the money.

Connectivity with the Xfi? It uses such a standard USB implementation. Larry was a GM at CMEDIA. The DAC sounds the same on all computers I've found.

Well..it was one of the reasons why i sold my Pulse XFI and ViDac because the DACs didn´t reconnect immediately to a Squeezebox Touch or Pi2
Don´t have those kind of issues with my current DAC. If either the DAC or the Pi2 will be turned off/on (in case required) they reconnect immediately.

With the Pulse and Vi is was a constant hazzle.

I have borrowed Koth Ganesh's Pulse Xfi. Whenever I plug the usb with my mac I have to restart the pulse for it to be detected. This doesn't happen with my Aune, Matrix, or Fiios. Not sure if the behavior is any different in Windows though. It doesn't randomly drop connection, so at least that way it's okay.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a USB B to USB Micro cable 6ft + for the GO2PRO/V2+ ? I have found a USB B to Micro in my stash, but it doesn't seem to work with it. Do these cables need to be "OTG" or something similar?

Well no more bands for me. Bought a plate with protective film for the GO2PRO and a second phone case to use only when listening to music. Attached the dual lock to both and now no more bands blocking the screen. Thanks for the idea!

You should add the perks for all other to-be-completed campaigns as well otherwise you will go through the same order status mayhem again

Yeah, that's on the list to do. The Wave seems to be the most disorganized, so I tackled that first.

Yesterday I bought a combo package of GO 2A SE and a Revive for $550. The Revive seems to be basically impossible to find, and I wasn't even really looking for it, it just came included in the combo this guy was selling. I really wanted the 2A SE just in case something happens to my other units, so I could have a variety as back-ups. I'll post pics when I get them and probably some impressions too.

Any have the latest firmware for the GO2A Infinity? I'm sitting on 1.5 and could really use the line out functionality. Thanks!

    Thank you, @jayeshrc

At first I was confused as F about how to get the GO2A Infinity working correctly after the firmware update, but I realized they just completely changed how everything works.

I don't love that volume control can only be done on the hardware buttons now (but do like that option). For whatever reason, even a slight jostling of the GO2A makes it momentarily lose connection with the USB port, which makes the sound drop out until it reestablishes connection. This won't matter once I'm using it as line out, but is annoying using it as an amp.

To quote @LarryHo for anyone else updating their firmware:

Here I list out the new features of firmware 2.1/2.0

    (1) New feature - Volume Control Buttons (Up and Down)
Total 128 digital segments with analog based gain control.
Just press the Up button to volume up. Down button to volume down.

    (2) New feature - Line Out mode
Press the UP button all the way up. When you see the original signal mode LED change to Light Green.
GO2Pro and GO2A is entering Line Out mode which totally by-pass the volume control and designed to
connect directly to Headphone Amp or Pre-amp. Max Vrms on Singled-ended: 3.2V rms

    * For Balanced output. Please connect TRRS to two XLR cable to balanced output. Also add and connect
another cable to connect GO2Pro/GO2A’s ground to Preamp’s ground via TRS Singled-ended cable.

    (3) New feature - Smart Gain
GO2A and GO2Pro will choose the proper analog GAIN settings according to the current volume setting by button.
When you approach the -2dBFS of LOW-GAIN and volume up. Firmware will automatic change GAIN setting to MID-GAIN.
When you approach the -2dBFS of MID-GAIN and volume up. Firmware will automatic change GAIN setting to HIGH-GAIN.

    (4) Updated feature - Please press TWO volume buttons at the same time to change digital mode/digital filter on the fly
TCM (Green) -> SSM (Red) -> FTM/FRM (Blue)

    (5) Updated feature — Digital Mode 2.0
By developing the new digital filter algorithm for our DaVinci MK2’s DSD decoding engine, we use the similar method to
re-write the digital mode firmware inside GO2PRo and GO2A. Especially in FTM/FRM, we achieve the smoother sound on high, even better sound stage. TCM has better FR on DSD playback.
(Remark: DaVinci’s PCM engine doesn’t use digital filter. Only on Dual engine 2.0’s DSD decoding side we have digital filter)
