Active power conditioner (8 outlets) with a maybe a few Nova cables thrown in. Gauging interest. It's not a cheap product and I know the audience is specialized for this type of product. Don't want to agree for a loaner if there isn't sufficient interest - that is people actually looking for stuff like this. I don't want to send out loaners to simply to satisfy curiosity.

Yes, I’m interested. I have a hum in my preamp that I’ve never been able to eliminate. I already use a Belkin power conditioner, but the hum persists. I’d like to see if a conditioner like the Power Station can address the issue.

I'm interested... my power at the office is exceptionally bad and I've resorted to a daisy chain of Emotiva CMx2 to an isolation transformer to clean things up. I would love to understand what a purpose built audio power solution brings to the table (and allow me to reduce the number of boxes under my desk.

The Belkin conditioners aren't exactly cheap either - and they don't work to fix many things. Will ask @iFi audio if they want to proceed.

I'm mixed. I am curious if it'd make any difference, but I'm not sure I'd throw that kinda coin at the solution. I'd probably sign up to find out...shipping & insurance is a relatively inexpensive experiment in the grand scheme of things.

I’d like to give this a try. I have good power at my house, but have always noticed improvements in my system when playing around with equipment like this be it Sola equipment or something like a double conversion UPS. I’m happy with my Vertiv UPS + isobars, but this product has me wondering.

@purr1n I would love to hear your impressions of this and if it has any negative affects on the sound. you have a great auditory memory for things like this and its' hard for me to switch everything to try to compare. But I am very interested because I have so many noise issues.

I'm interested, too. My house AC power is pretty poor (high frequency components close to 1V in the wall ac outlet I'm using) and I indeed benefited quite a lot from a custom-built audiophile power conditioner bought early this year (which reduced HF noise down to 0.1V). I think I need another one now because I'd separate power distribution to my first and second rigs. I'm pretty open to spend not-too-crazy money on this kind of products if they're worthy enough.

    Thanks Marv!

In your case I think that a DC Blocker could fix the problem, but that depends on the reason behind that hum.

I'm not sure about other power bars, but ours being an active device essentially measures signal incoming from the mains and injects artificial oppositely phased wave to cancel incoming noise, which is similar to how ANC in headphones work. The dirtier your power line is, the more audible Power Station's effectiveness will be.

If the interest is there, why not. I'll ask internally our manager whether we can proceed.

There's only one way to find out :)

Thanks, @iFi audio. I tried a GND Defender, but it didn’t fix the problem. Maybe I’ll try a DC Blocker. I hear the hum through the speakers, not from the transformer itself, so I was under the impression that the DC Blocker is not the right product.

You're right. DC Blocker was designed to remove DC offset that makes transformers hum, so in your case the issue has to be related to grounding I think.

OK folks, so if those of you are still willing to give PowerStation and Nova cables a go, let's make it happen then? @purr1n you good with that :) ?

Yes, let's proceed. Send info on all gear in the package to @julie and she will organize the loaner.

Completely missed this thread earlier. If it still matters, also interested.
