@Melvillian @crenca so I just received the loaner unit, but as soon as I picked up the box, I could hear something moving around with screws. The Jensen one seems fine, but the cinameg converter box definitely has something loose inside. Not sure how to proceed with this?
Well most likely my fix did not hold, though it's possible it did and the other one came loose. I really wanted a #5 (next size up) metal screw but could not source one locally. If you take the six screws off the bottom you can see for yourself easily enough. If there are several washers floating around with a 1/4 inch #6 screw you know it was my fix that came loose. If it's just a single 1/8 inch screw it is the other side (that so far has held) that needs some attention...
OK after opening the box, it seems that one of the screws holding the cinemag got loose. I also see 4? washers? I did screw it back
Let me try to use it now brb
EDIT: it works! After I tightened the screws with the 4 washers, I did reinforce it by wrapping it around with electrical tape. I honestly think it'll get unscrewed again easily during shipping if I don't do this for the next person
I have the football. The box is working fine with no noises from within.
Already a decent jump in volume with the MB Gungnir A2.
I guess my electrical tape MOD worked... lol jk
I got the boxed back today. Thanks everyone for being amazing tour participants. I think at this point this is SBAF’s converter since some of you had to open it up and help keep the thing from falling apart,
@Boops i need to make some adjustments to make sure it doesn’t fall apart again. I’ll send it to you probably next week.
Sounds great. No rush!
