It is available for sale. Major changes I see include: Unison, OPA1656 opamps, and USB-C. There are probably others as well. I was hoping for the low end TI chip so I could sample that sound, but oh well! It's good to see these back in stock.

I have been looking out for updates as well. Read through the Texas Meet and Schittt Meet for impressions, but all i could find was something along the line of “non offensive” or “i dont have a problem with it”.

The price increase is interesting. Not that it still isnt one of the best value DACs there is (most likely), but that is 30% more than the incredibly performing Modius. Different sound i get it, but yeah let’s see!

I hope there newer stuff isn’t really bright like the Bifrost 2/64.

I returned mine I told them it was too bright.
I feel they need to know that. I would if I was a manufacturer

Would be awesome if they let us know how to tune the DAC output stage as well if it is possible.

If there are coupling caps we could change to make the sound less bright or simply tune. For those of us who are handy with soldering irons.

I became good friends with people like Dave Friedman and Reinhold Bogner who told me what to tweak on their guitar amps to tailor them to what I wanted more.
Then again I learned how to do that on my own as well.

I searched the Modi Multibit thread and "burrito filter" is referred to many times, but no mention of "supermegacombo". I don't know if there's a distinction.

This may be old, but this is what I have written in my Google notes:

There is a slight distinction between the supercomboburrito (mega-burrito) filter in Yggdrasil and Gungnir, which have enough internal space, versus the other products that have the burrito filter. True Multibit™ products each have a closed-form, digital filter. However, the two larger DACs implement this using a discrete I/V. The smaller DACs use an op-amp analog stage. Examples of such are Bifrost, Modi, and the module available for use in Asgard, Jotunheim, and Lyr.

I’m sure that the “elites” here have had MMB2 for a long time now and are just waiting on measurements or something. Maybe it’s so quiet because there is really nothing new about its sound?

I received my MMB2 yesterday. I have no idea what filter it uses however I can confirm that there are no garbled noises when changing bit rates, the device itself does click but nothing audible through my phones.

I currently have roon feeding it, it then feeds a THX 887, from there it is balanced out to my HE6SE V2. As with the RME ADI 2 Pro there is not much left on the volume dial with quite a few older recordings.

Schitt's Multibit architecture uses their propietary time and frequency optimized digital filter AKA the supermegacomboburrito filter which in the modi multibit's case is implemented on their Sharc DSP. The Modi Multibit 2 also gives you the capability to disable their filter I believe by holding in the input selector button for a few seconds. I looked in the manual and I didn't see it in there for some reason. This puts the MM2 into NOS (non-oversampling) mode. Schitt just started implementing this option on their Bifrost 2/64 and I believe the Yggdrasil with the new Chassis.
