My Son Michael (Caute)

Hello Everyone,

I hope I am on the correct forum.

My name is Michael Manouel.

I am Michael's (Caute) father. We lost Michael on November 29th. He had battled depression for a long time.
He is a young man who we loved very much, and were very proud of.

I was very happy to see all of the comments from his fellow audiophiles. I am so pleased that he touched your lives.

I cannot thank all of you for your beautiful comments, and I would also like to thank all of you for the donations to his funeral expenses.

I especially want to thank Michael Sussman, Julie & Marv Chen, Alex Olsen, Gael Nguyen, and David Steele.

If I missed anyone, I want to thank all of you also.

Your comments about my Son has been a great help.

Michael. We meant every word. You would know more than anyone that your son was an incredibly genuine, caring and intelligent soul. It showed in every post and comment he made here. He touched many of our lives with his infectious curiosity and excitement.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post here, especially during what must be an incredibly difficult time. God bless you and your family.

It very much felt like caute was a part of here for far longer than he actually was. His writings are pure excitement and curiosity in a way that actually make something as staid as audio feel strange and exciting, and while it's occasionally been Quite A Lot to take in, his warmth and exuberance will be missed.

Your son was extremely enthusiastic as others have said. He was like all of us in chasing after enjoyment of audio and the passions of it all. I think his deep passion is why he became quick friends with many here as he was so eager to learn from others as he was deeply curious. His kindred friendship was refreshing and I will miss getting to speak to him about his adventures. So he will be missed greatly.

I want to say we are happy we could have had such a positive impact on your son's life as much as he positively impacted ours. We are a small group of audio enthusiasts around the world gathered here to share our love of the hobby but what has been first foremost to us has been the people and community.

Your son was fantastic and I wished I could have spoken to him a little more myself.
