    Forgot to update this! So results as of the moment are 11 votes for Mic A, 4 for Mic B, and 1 vote for "no difference".

    So yes, there are indeed two different mics used here:

    A was recorded using 2x
    Reso Labs X21P-P100
    , while B was recorded with2x
    Josephson C617
    . Neither affordable mics, but each with very different presentations. I was gathering responses in various little niches, but from what I could tell the preferences were almost cleanly divided between people who value enjoying playback more (who generally voted for the first mic pair) and people who were more "modern" sound, or produced stuff indie (the other pair).

    Right now I'm REALLY just deathly curious to figure out who voted for "no difference" though, haha. Well I did leave things anonymous for a reason, glad to have gotten candid answers.

    I peferred B on my phone speakers, and preferred A on my main headphone setup. A had some very pretty decay on the notes that was fun to listen to. B seemed to strip back a lot of the sense of space and those pleasant reflections.
