I'm a pretty big fan of Bravely Default's music. Their live concert in particular was spectacular.

I'm also partial to Masakasu Sugimori's works (Gyakuten Saiban/Phoenix Wright and Ghost Trick)

Recently I've been hooked on Undertale's soundtrack. Doesn't hurt that it's one of the most original RPG's I've played in a while.

@imac2much beat me to Bravely Default, amazing soundtrack that I discovered while playing the game, and listen to both the studio and concert versions often.

I really enjoy the two video game cover albums by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the first one linked here but I think #2 is even better. Both are on Spotify

There's a couple. Of course I have a list of favorite Nobuo Uematsu pieces, but I think everybody is familiar with those.

Final Fantasy Tactics OST. Picked up the 2CD Boxset when I was in Japan ages ago, and I keep coming back to it when I need to concentrate for hours.

@Xen yes that is an awesome soundtrack! I used to have it on PS1 - now I have it on the iPad. The iPad version is basically the same thing, little better graphics and better looking cut scenes - but same game play.

Gehrman, The First Hunter from the Bloodborne OST. It was a powerful piece of music when I played through the game the first time. I'm not going to spoil the context, but it was perfect for the setting.

One of the most innovative DS games and JRPG also has one of the best soundtracks: World Ends With You

Another with an amazing art style even though gameplay was more like a Zelda game: Ookami

Probably one of Nubuo Uematsu's greatest works

awesomeness @velvetx I remember back in 1997 I ordered the 4-disc soundtrack from Japan (the only place it was available back then) and it was like $80.00 + almost $20.00 shipping - glad things are cheaper now that the internet is pretty much in everyone's home and now there is eBay and stuff like that. I still have the original Japan 4-disc set of the FFVII Soundtrack.

All of those old school OST Japan originals are worth a lot of money.

I never thought about it, but your probably right. I could rip the CD's and then sell the actual Physical Retail Copy - lol. I doubt I will though.
