    Hi guys,
I had Synology DS115 NAS as my music server connected to Cambridge Audio DACMagic 100 DAC via USB for a long time. It worked perfectly, I was controlling it through DS Audio app on my iPhone as a remote. Recently I got Schiit Bifrost 2 with Unison USB. I still want to use my Synology DS but when I connected it to Bifrost there is no any sound. Optical and coax connections from other sources work fine. Does anyone experienced problems with Synology DS and Unision USB DAC?

    It might not be supported.

Does the Unison USB work if you hook it up to a Windows 10 PC or Mac? If you don't have either, try using the Lightning to USB camera adapter from your iPhone. That way you can isolate if the problem is with the USB module in the Bifrost 2 or not. If it works elsewhere, then it likely doesn't support that Synology.

Bifrost 2's USB input requires a source that can do USB Audio Class version 2 (UAC2):

I actually did. I connected my old Mac mini and it works like a charm. But I really wanted to keep using my Synology DS with my library I built for years.

Yeah I'm not seeing that Synology can do UAC-2. Sorry, looks like you'll need to use a different source.

Thank you, I see. Do you have any suggestions? My goal is not to have any big computer or laptop next to where my DAC is. Something relatively small and can be controlled from my iPhone

Raspberry Pi with a Hifiberry Digi+ Pro or a Pi2AES. Install moOde Audio on the raspberry pi and you can point it at your NAS for the library. You can control moOde from any browser on your LAN. I do something similar with a USB HDD on my router.
