For home use, I am very pleased with the Mr. Speakers Ether-C. Great isolation and comfort. Easy to drive with most amps. Sounds more transparent than most of the closed phones I've tried. Pricey, but very sweet.

For portable use, the Momentum 2.0 is a great pick and surprisingly, the Beyerdynamic (I'm not usually a fan) DT 770 Pro is very neutral and affordable.

Does anyone know any other TOTL closed back headphones other than the Either C, Audeze XC & the Fostex TH-900?
Maybe some more obscure headphone not widely known?

Alpha Dogs are quite good especially used.

But that's not the ultimate, is it?

Final Audio Sonorous VI, VIII and X (haven't heard), Beyerdynamic T5P (weak bass), Ultrasone of various sorts (not that great according to most), ZMF Blackwoods, also Omni are nearly closed.

The TH-900 aren't really that closed tbh.

The Fostex are the best sounding I think, but I also have a massive fondness for the T70P

Yeah, I was disappointed in that the TH-900 were semi-closed back, not fully closed headphones. Maybe earpad rolling would have sealed better.
    Will research those Sonorous.

edit: $5,000 for the Sonorous X, no wonder I never heard of it lol.
Guess that makes it more expensive than even the Abyss.

The only headphones I haven't sold yet --> Ultrasone Signature DJs. Other than comfort, they are pretty good to my ears. Have been enjoying the DT1770s as well. Good isolation, good leak control, decent sound stage and imaging, sub/mid bass presence, yeah I like these 2 a lot. :p
