Can't wait to hear this bad ass again, Tom. The last time was a few years ago at a Brooklyn meet.

    Very nice of you, thanks!

    Sweet.

Nope, no objections on my end.

Oh shit, I forgot that. Well it might take some extra making up, but the 14th is still doable on my end. Depending on where it is, would be nice to get in on a carpool, especially if I have to lug loaner gear.

Also, where else would I rather be on Valentine's day than with you guys... Lol.

There's no problem on my end for 2/21, which would make it easier for you guys. Unless you intentionally want an excuse out of valentines day :headbang:

It's ok Gunner... I was wearing a black musician style shirt and a pair of blue jeans. I'm about 6'.2" and 240+ pounds. I spent most of my time walking around with Tom and Aaron. It was a great show and I really enjoyed it. I purchased the Red Wine Audio modification Vinnie offered at the "not so silent auction" for my AK 380. Since the show Scott (the organizer of the Connecticut show) and I have been downtown (Manhattan) to listen to some gear together. Also for the last couple of years, I've help Tom with the Babylon Spring show.

What's your current setup at home? What do you use with your AK 380?

I was able to check into the event room at my apartment complex. It's available on 2/21 and the fee for rental would be $150, which would give us 4 hours of use. Would have to be during the daytime hours. As a reminder, this would be in Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC.

I know that there are a few locations under consideration, so if you all decide on this option, let me know so I can put a deposit down to reserve the space in advance.

My house is large and very comfortable. it's no problem and we won't need to stand around the equipment. I've got lot's of power, chairs for all of us to sit comfortably and we won't need to stack gear! I'm good to host on any of the days on Sunday in February with the exception of the 14th. What time were you all thinking about getting together?

As it's going to be on a Sunday some of us will need to get to work (the next day) it may be a good idea to break up before 8 pm. But again I'm open to accommodate from say 1 pm but early if need-be. My wife is very cool about opening our home to a bunch of audiophiles (God knows she is married to one).

I'm glad to order in a nice 6' foot hero and/or pizza or anything that works for the group. I'ts my pleasure.

Just a little background on me:

My audio journey began nearly 35 years ago. It started so very simply; with my passion and love for music. Yes, this love (as far back as I can remember) started as a very young boy picking up my very first pair of drum sticks while listening to my father playing his native ethic instrument, the accordion.

It is an honor having been born into a family where “live music” filled our home each day with beautiful, emotional sounds. Sounds that makes you feel wonderful! Similar to that feeling, the one that comes with taking your first good stretch in the morning (the one that makes you smile). I can still remember running down those old creaky stairs in my home as a young child (beginning at 5 years old) bursting with excitement when I heard my father beginning to unlock his accordion case. I couldn’t wait to play with my father by picking up those drum sticks to develop a pattern (a rhythm), in my attempt to create beautiful swirling sounds of music. As my father pushed the accordion bellows back and forth across his knee, I tapped the tips of the drum sticks against the tile of the old wooden kitchen floor.

I never forgot those precious moments with my father. I purchased my very first 2 channel system at the ripe old age of 12. Throughout out my 35 year journey, I have owned more than 20 distinct audio systems comprising of many amazing components. I'm professionally trained as a musician, however my full time gig is as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) protecting people and information assets. I have diverse interests, one most notability is a self-proclaimed audiophile.

    Sincerely your friend in audio,
    -Speed

My current set up is most notable focused on portable audio as I travel almost 4 hours a day to/from work...but I think things are about to change...

I have the AK 240 (not sure if I'm selling or keeping), AK 380, AK External amp (PAF-11), Cord Hugo, JH Layla's, Sen's HD-800's and HE-1000's. I''ve got an order in for the new Shure KSE-1500's and a custom made sliver-litz and gold cable being built by Plus Sounds in Ca. for the JH Layla's. Tomorrow I'm sending the AK to Red Wine Audio (RWA) for the mods on both the AK 380 and the external purpose amp the PAF-11. They are being tweaked by Vinnie.

I just started in the portable "digital" realm of things beginning April 2014. Al this point in my journey I'm looking to invest in some serious home digital stuff. Just not sure exactly what at the moment but it's going to be very musical.

    Sincerely,
    -Speed

Added to the waitlist. I'd like to keep the meet small but I'll see if I can fit you in once I can confirm everyone's attendance.
