It looks like Zach tuned the sub bass and smoothed the treble quite nicely. I'm curious how the mids and vocals perform. Looking for a closed back headphone, looks like these may have been announced at just the right time for me.

Anyone have an update on these? I'm in the market for a good closed-back planar for under $500. I'm interested to hear/see distortion measurements on these, too. I know Zach's work is respected here (and by all accounts, he's a really chill, honest, friendly dude), so I hope this turned out good.

Guess they're not sexy enough to distract people from all the other new headphone bling available.

I've got my own version, my first serious modding attempt applying some of the T50RP mk2 mods and ZMF cowhide pads to the mk3. Ended up having to fix them with EQ, but they're my daily drivers at work.

I have the Blackwoods and I'm confident Zach can make them sound good, but I'd be interested in some impressions.

I'm quite interested also, Zach told me that these offer great value for money!
