    Bad edits, some not even bothering to manage the zero crossing, often the timing is just a bit off, short dropouts (verified across multiple CDs), truck rumble (tracks from Abbey Roads as one example), tonal imbalance, mismatched punches, residual noise (sometimes can even hear leakage from voices or a telephone in the control room). One of the more bizarre production flaws can be found on Sad Lisa, Tea for the Tillerman, Cat Stevens at 02:30.8 to 02:31.4 mostly left channel and then again at 03:22 for another 600 mS in both channels. A mysterious low level 464 Hz tone that is clearly not musically related. What is up with that?
