Companies lay these off in masses and they might have been some stored backup item. In some companies Thinkpads collect some data and are connected to devices, they aren't really used.
I just read this on my Surface I only use mine for pleasure, browsing the net and controlling Roon mostly. It works better for these tasks than the Android tablets I have used...
I would consider a mac but the keyboards are such a joke. Magic Keyboard on MBP is a joke, 2011 Unibody had a better keyboard. When you are running W10 you know you can run everything, most flexible OS in 2020. Yeah, competition is good, but on the contrary we can see thumbed down OSes that are worse now than W10.
LOL, nice marketing stunt. Make a flimsy zero travel KB, after that you introduce product improvement that isn't even on bar with what you made over 5 years ago. "Everybody makes mistakes.
Everybody has those days."
I realized that your T series Thinkpad, X1 Carbon, original Unibody MBP is as far as you are going to get in terms of product innovation regarding laptops. Have a nice backlit KB with normal travel and feel and that's it really. You can improve performance and battery life but that's about it.
T460S weighs 1.3Kg and has a 14" screen, has a good variety of ports, matte screen, FHD IPS, near-perfect KB. Only thing is battery life. I can get around 6h and this could be improved.
My Surface Pro 2017 has been rock solid, but then again so has my Thinkpad X1 Yoga. Only issue I have with the Thinkpad is the camera is spectacularly shitty.
