So far, I far prefer the system in ME2. They've really streamlined the gameplay which I appreciate. I spent way too much time on my inventory and upgrade screens in the first one and some of the controls felt very archaic.

The reloading is taking a little time to adjust to, but no biggie. I can handle hitting the square button every so often.

Never been fond of these kind of games but this looks appealing to me somehow.

Anyone got to preorder the Oculus Rift today?

The USD->CAD rate really bones us, but I bit the bullet anyway. A grand for a pair of VR goggles, ugh it better be incredible.

Apparently I would need a new graphics card in addition to the Rift. Will wait til next year.

What card do you use atm?

I have a GTX770, which is below the recommended GTX970, but I'm optimistic that by lowering game settings, I can hit the 90 frames/sec target in prettier games.

I think 960 performs at like 95% of 770. I think you could make Rift work with some compromises in video game settings.

Probably. I knew getting the 960 would be a compromise if I wanted to play the latest and greatest (normally I don't). At this point, I will wait for user reviews. Trying to get an HD800 again later this year. Play money is finite so have to make choices :)

TIS-100 has been an interesting and frustrating game to play. It's a game about programming. In Assembly.

    *long sigh*
I probably spent nearly $200 already in this fuckin' addictive Warframe game. I've fallen so low.
Kudos to the devs, it's a really tidily made game; the action, BGM, movement, atmosphere, art direction, lore, voice over, cinematic, all comes together cohesively, I love it.

But hey, at least now I won't have a budget to give in to my impulse of buying a friggin' HD650. Love what you have, dear me.

So I decided to take a step back lately from all my modern day video games and have decided to go old school.

Currently Playing: Final Fantasy IV (never played): Started Yesterday
Next Game: Final Fantasy IX (never played)

    Obviously emulated :)

I'm still working through the Mass Effect trilogy, but...

I just started Bloodborne today and all I can say is that it feels very refreshing. I assumed, like most games, that the early enemies would be a joke...just spam attack them and move on.

Not so much. And for that alone, I love this game.

Dark Messiah. Play it if you are a guy that's more focused around mechanics than story. Insanely good game but it starts to get old, think it was released 2006.

The Witness is now on my radar. It looks like the 2nd coming of MYST which to this day probably impacted me more than any other video game I've played.

The huge steam sale right now is tempting me to buy games I will probably never have time to play. Does anyone have Mark of the Ninja or Road Redemption? Both look like fun and possibly games that do not require a major time commitment in a given sitting to be enjoyable.

Mark of the ninja was one of those games that got me to start it multiple times but never kept me engaged enough to play it through.
