First time I was ever high was when I got a dental implant. They gave me some triazolam going into it and and nitrous oxide during the procedure. The radio was on the whole time. Only time in my life Nickelback sounded great.
Depending on what you use for painkillers after, you could end up like my brother. He thought he was a genius because he kept getting Jeopardy answers right, but was too high to realize he had been watching the same episode on repeat for 3 days.
Be strong buddy, I have had my wisdom and molars pulled before. Top row is less painful than the bottom. Bottom ones are annoying. Pain can be real short or take a few days. Hopefully you get lucky and the pain goes away sooner than later.
The wisdom tooth socket, that hurts like a bitch right now. But the molar, which I previously had a root canal 20 years ago, I can't really feel at all. I think the nerve is dead on that side.
Had all four wisdom teeth pulled 3 months ago, fully awake with local freezing only. Recovered with antibiotics and 800mg ibuprofen tablets. That was all that was necessary in my case. Keep food out of the socket and it will be gravy.
800mg ibuprofen is what I was given for my last nasty extraction, which involved bad bone as well as well bad tooth. I demanded codeine, just in case, and was given a prescription, along with assurances that I really wouldn't need it. I didn't.
My (I-am-not-a-doctor) theory is that a lot of pain comes from inflammation, and anti-inflammatory drugs do a more effective job than heavy-weight pain killers. Erm... most of the time.
I take ibuprofen all the time for headaches and stuff, the 800s they gave me upset my stomach, so I'm just taking 600mg of the coated stuff I have here like I normally do instead.
