I think part of the difficulty is that you do tend to break text up a bit too much? Short paragraphs are effective ways to get salient points across, but not if they're like 20 of them across 10px of screen. Uber-long paragraphs are a pain in the button too, it's a matter of striking a balance. I tend to err on the side of having overly long ones though, so eh.
Try writing more haikus - Condenses all of your thoughts - Less words, more content.
