I can't imagine cable geometry making that much difference. Maybe some kind of filter in the connectors?

He said it’s a discrete filter in the IEC. Shunyata has been refining them for years. I’m wondering how the Audioquest cable on the desk behind it performed. Those were designed by Garth Powell, after he left Furman.

Okay, I am obviously an idiot but if it is plugged in parallel then shouldn't it still be picking up the "dirty line"? Or is that thing just a trick and its not properly grounded till its grounded using the other cable?

Seems like one of those plug into the wall socket & it will reduce noise accessories, like the PS audio noise harvester. I think iFi might have a similar product as well.
