First impressions: Imaging is a lot more precise. Presentation is less immersive than LCD 2-- everything is just a little less visceral and a little distant. This isn't necessarily a good or bad thing.
I'm not loving HD 650 for electric guitars or drums. Upper treble seems a little aggressive to me, but that might be me reacting to less bass. There's certainly more detail but... not always?

Main take is that HD 650 feels a little slow. I might not have the language to express this, but here's my try: it excels at "clean" sounds (piano, acoustic guitar, strings) but can't give "dirty" sounds (electric guitar, drums) all of the fullness? weight? harmonics? that I'm used to.

It's very different. Very complimentary. I think I'm really going to enjoy being able listen to either LCD2rev2 or HD 650.

Tl;dr today I learned what everyone else here already knew. HD 650 is a good headphone.

You need to try it with a tube amp before you pass judgment on how it behaves with guitars. I'd say the 650+Jot is one of my least favorite combinations I've heard.
