Impedance is almost dead flat on the FDX1 (single DD) so no worries about matching to amp output Z. They seem to me to be revealing of the character of the amp/player, so whatever has been said generally about the ZX2 will likely apply.
I find myself using blue filters with ZX300 most often. ZX300 has this tendency to make everything sound a bit leaner, faster, cleaner, and sharper. ZX2 has much more slam, a warmer character, rounder transients, longer decays, but less power output. Since it is a fairly efficient single DD, it should be less of a diva on amplification so it’s more about choosing the sound profile you prefer between these two DAPs.
