    Not bad for sub-20 usd. Tight sounding. Moderately crisp and clear-ish. Some sibilance around 5-6k. Maybe a bit hollow mids, too. Nevertheless can happily use these for any non-critical listening (I couldn't bear macbook pro builtin speakers).

    @ChaChaRealSmooth But I want to mention (if design, budget and space allow) you may like to consider edifier r1280t ($99), too. They're way more in line with audiophile experience.

    JBL 104 has been on sale for $50. I used them at work and they were decent for that price.
