@purr1n and @atomicbob believe me, the last thing I want to do is get into a pointless argument like in the ambient noise thread again where it is all about numbers with no meaning. My hands still shake whenever I think about it (seriously).

Tbh I do want to add an update to the ambient noise thread soon and I hope afterwards we can all go out of it a little friendlier. But it's still going to take a while until then. Have been gathering data on and off for a while, but I still need to gather some more before I can present it.

Also Marv I'm glad you mentioned hearing noise in many common mics + preamps. I do too, but the U47 recordings I heard really make me wonder if that even matters. I feel it manages to resolve more plankton despite being noisier than other mics. Or maybe it's placebo.
Some of my favorite recordings are quite noisy, yet capture so much plankton. I guess that's what no denoising does.
