    Haha, I think I just killed too many HD580 is all. A 580 in pristine condition is still my favorite headphone of the trio. It's like a slightly less veiled HD650. But 3-4KHz is indeed its undoing.

    @tommytakis might depend on the screen type / age of driver. I'll let you know what I come up with. Thanks for the tips @Bill-P ! Pad risers help just by reducing proximity, trying to keep things as open as possible since the livlier transients on these tend to feel compressed with lighter damping than on the 6-- Senns.
