The problem with doing that while sitting in a chair (other than being lame,) is that your body, constricted by the chair, no longer relieves the neck and shoulders from the lateral force trying to separate the ligaments there and you wind up with brutal neck and upper back pain that sticks around for weeks. And you can't see a chiropractor. Chiropractors aren't metal.
"Rob Stewart voice" is... yes. I never realized that's what it was, but yes.
But basically it's a combo of simulated whiplash and throat-punching. I like to think that means you're on-point.
I can actually do a few growls and screams without hurting myself. I learned it just wanting to scream along. It's so fun to cock your head back and scream into raised ceilings and big echoey spaces.
My most trusted people wear transceivers at all times in case I go too far and "The Portal" opens up again. The transceivers have the power to teleport them over, to help me close it. See, every time it opens, resonant beings come out, and tend to soupify people's brains when they pass through. Turns out forcing 100khz brainwave modulation is bad for people.
