    I consider the MDR 7506 and V6 to be the worst "good" headphones. "Good" because they get recommended so often as good. Worst because they suck. The 7506 and V6 can't even do binaural recordings. How does a headphone manage to not do binaural? Even the original Apple iPod earbuds did binaural effects OK. The 7506 and V6 fail.

    Never got the fascination with the MDR7506 either. Might as well get RH5Ma, though if we're going there, Porta Pro's exist, so...

    DT990's I get. If you haven't tried other headphones you might think that's details singeing the inner ear hairs, and that the blood coming out of yer nose is from 'hearing the whole mix' for the first time. They also run cheaper than the next best. Deaf people have called them smooth.

    The only thing the 7506 and V6 are suitable for is live monitoring in mono. They utterly fail at stereo music listening. Good monitoring gear does not necessarily make good stereo music listening gear.
